just found out we’ve directly paid march rent for just shy of 130 families through the mutual aid funds that we’ve been raising through the salon ♥️ this is in addition to what we’ve been doing through venmo and whatnot. we ran a separate fundraiser through chuffed that was very successful

Another 200 HRT harm reduction kits ready to be distributed to trans people in Asheville, NC 🏳️‍⚧️

Each pack contains syringes, injection needles, alcohol wipes, bandaids, and a sharps disposal container, ensuring that people have safe and reliable access to gender affirming healthcare.

$15K for rent relief by March 15

"ICE presence has expanded across Minnesota, especially in the past three weeks. Funds will be distributed between metro-area and greater Minnesota rent relief."

As Isreal renews open war with Lebanon, @distributeaid.org has tourniquets, water filters, and wheelchairs already on the way to help civilians survive.

We also prepositioned hundreds of shelter nursing kits to help mothers and infants fleeing the bombs.

On Monday, our volunteers handed out around 100 servings of chili con carne w/cheese, orange slices, & soft pretzel balls to our unhoused neighbors! Hot damn, that's a lot of chili!

One thing I think is lost on folks who are not in the fight is how people like Ian raise thousands of dollars, covering rent for dozens of families, and STILL feel like it isn’t enough. I see it in everyone who is lending any amount of help. We are tortured by the thought that we can’t do it all.

Today I told fascists to fuck off by supplying my neighbors with groceries while they shelter in place. Last week I paid their rent. All with help from y'all!

I've now printed and shipped over 20,000 whistles, sent across the country to groups that need em. That's 20,000 off a single 3d printer that has basically run continuously in my basement since about mid-January. The crew I print with has sent out over 1M now, and we can send to you too. toot.supply

I'm on the admin team of a hyperlocal mutual aid group. Today someone DM'ed me with a very complex/challenging question & asked "is this in your wheelhouse?"

Me: "Oh, definitely not. But almost nothing I've been doing for the last 3 months is. Let's figure this out."

Time for another report on how we’ve been doing! As of today, we’ve spent nearly $18k at local, immigrant-owned businesses & have provided ~2000 meals to people experiencing unhoused homelessness or food insecurity.

this is the part that reminds me that many people are good, but rich people almost universally are not.

so many of us have come together to help when the cost of doing so means deprivation in our own lives, so that people who will never know deprivation can make fake numbers go up even higher.
