If you set the clock back to 1990, the proportion of the world in extreme poverty was 4 to 5 times higher than today. The stalling of that progress β€” the final-mile problem β€” coincides with a stalling and reversal in the spread of democracy and in the liberalization of economies

Tory was not a very good mayor at all. His policy of keeping property tax increase at the rate of consumer inflation is a main factor for Toronto's current fiscal plight. His "Smart Track" transit notion was poorly thought out ploy although it managed to fool voters that he had a sound plan.

Hundreds of autoworkers laid off as GM shuts down 3rd shift General Motors (GM) is moving ahead with plans to eliminate the third shift at its Oshawa, Ont., assembly plant.

Ford thinks that not allowing Chinese EVs will help GM and other existing Ontario auto plants become more competitive. He's wrong (as he usually is). It is GM's own fault that it isn't more competitive. Ford also wants federal $ support for the auto industry. That would be silly.

Brown Creeper at The Coves in London, Ontario. They burn an estimated 4–10 calories (technically, kilocalories) per day, a tiny fraction of a human’s daily intake of about 2,000 kilocalories. By eating a single spider, a creeper gains enough energy to climb nearly 200 feet vertically.

In the years Canada was in Afghanistan, my colleagues and I repeatedly had to profile soldiers who died there.

Here are some that I wrote or co-wrote.

Canada must not join Trump's vanity project, Board of Peace, regardless of cost. It serves only to boost Trump's ego and attempts to maintain his influence after his term is over. All it will do is rubber stamp whatever silly whims Trump has.
