It's not writer's block - it's that you haven't done your own trauma work to get to the story you're trying to tell.
I really love non-fiction writing, and yet, I find myself drawn to the ideal of writing a novel, soon...
Put voices in your ears that will challenge your foregone conclusions; voices who will speak to the state of the world with a lens you need to hear. Different than yours - lenses of experience and growth. Of lived advocacy & determination to care for those close to them through chaos.
Speak about what (and who) you love. Share your hopes through this mess, when you’re ready. It’s possible you may need to excavate them to the surface.
But do the work.
Be with yourself so that you can be with others. Grief is not easily navigated in isolation.

The explosion of my account here caught me off guard - hey y’all! Tell me about yourself so I can get to know you & why you think I’m worth following 😂
Here’s a few fun facts if you have no idea & need reasons:
I own a St Paul Rudd prayer candle
I love the PDX Thorns
I will eat all the gummy candy
I’m so tired and it’s only been four days.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Changes how we treat ourselves when we frame it as a reasonable response, ya know?
Excited to hear what you enjoy or don’t enjoy, too! 🫶🏻
