In the future we've all become amateur psychologists so we can recognize when the computers are trying to manipulate us. And you thought learning to type was a PITA.

Most interesting article I've seen in the last year, on the future of work/human economy in the age of AI/LLMs: Accountability is the new bottleneck. botminds.ai/post/the-fut...
I've been wanting to try it out. Will you be using API keys or local models?
The worker-owned coop web dev agency that I've been a part of for 12+ years (Polycot Associates) is rebirthing as Resolana CoLaboratory! We just posted the first of a 4-part series about what we've gone through over the past year.
Has anyone started playing with matrix yet? It's a decentralized protocol, similar to ATProto/bluesky, but matrix supports private messages and rooms, whereas ATProto is 100% public. If you'd like to connect there, my ID is @benjamin-resolana:matrix.org
Comedy bit idea: dictate your joke and have it transcribed but then perform it with all the f***** up punctuation that the transcription adds in.
I feel like we hit peak transcription a few years ago before everybody jumped on AI.
So meta
Good reminder that, as MLK Jr said, "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere." We (recent humans) have played this game before, and we know what's needed. Time to get in the game!
I think one of the best things about LLM popularity right now, is gaining familiarity with neural network training We are more aware of who's doing it and with what. In a way, each of us is training our own neural network in our brain everyday. What are you training your neural network with?
The question of the year is:
If you had a team of experts available at your fingertips, ready to support whatever project you wanted to undertake, what would you do?
We're rapidly entering a time when building a company will be as easy as writing job descriptions and processes / workflows.
"There is a river flowing now very fast."
faster than ever

When companies stop hiring people for entry level positions, those people will have no other recourse than to start their own companies, which will end up being competitors for aforementioned companies.
What if: Once you get a certain amount of complex matter together in a concentrated space, and move it in a certain way, it just starts going on its own.
What if we had to convince AIs that they are here to serve us by being humans who are here to serve others.
"people do not form their beliefs based on evidence or reason to begin with. Rather,we use reason to arrange the evidence into a story aligned with an underlying state of being that includes emotional tendencies, old wounds, patterns of relationship, and outlook on life" from tinyurl.com/tmbwohkip31
I feel like one of those native people from stories, staring out at that blob on the horizon slowly getting bigger each day, wondering what is about to land on our shore.
I think one possible side effect of the AI boom could be a proliferation of entrepreneurship. I can see a future where it lowers the barrier to entry by providing business coaching, personal development, personal assistance, and the advice of a cadre of knowledgeable experts at your fingertips.
What if our new social media platform actually embodied the world we want to live in, how would it operate? mewe.com/post/show/67...
I think that soon, LLMs will be able to translate apps directly between different platforms like iOS, Android, PC, etc. It will be trivially easy for most apps to run on multiple platforms.
Bluesky is like a better Twitter, but doesn't fill the niche for longer posts, threaded conversations, groups, or events. Is it time to give mewe another chance?
Headline: "Hard Drive Tossed in Landfill With Bitcoin Now Worth $800 Million. Lawsuits Continue"
Bitcoin is our generation's Tulips.
Since the election, I've been trying to shift the story I'm living in from "most of the country I live in would prefer to be led by an openly racist sexual predator," to "...so unhappy with their lives, they are willing to look past racism, sexual assault, and convictions, to try and find change."
Need context! 🤣
