Early voting starts today! If you are in Harris County and are voting in the Democratic primary, please go vote for me for the 281st district court! I have a primary opponent and I have received every endorsement in this race!

Blue dots in Texas!

Just in case you need a reminder about midterm turnout in TX, this is what 2022 looked like statewide:

1M voters in Dem primary
1.95M voters in Rep primary
8M voters in Nov election

17.6M registered voters in TX 2022

Let’s get our fellow blue dots to the polls in 2026!!!

I am a blue dot judge in a red state who has been called a lot worse than RLS. But I stay and fight in Harris County because Texas is worth fighting for and if we get enough people to realize the value of their vote, we can change this state!

My parents were refugees from Vietnam when they fled to the US and I was born months later in Florida. Just a reminder of what birthright citizenship looks like.

It’s the least I could do. Statewide races are a grind and it’s easy to feel defeated. Every donation I got - especially from folks I didn’t know - reminded me of why I was running for the Texas Supreme Court and that a lot of people wanted change there. Thank you for the support!

NATIONAL CHAMPIONS!

Couldn’t be more proud of the University of Houston Law Center’s ABA Arbitration team that won the National Championship this weekend! Orly Golub, Anthony Lane, Gunnar Osteen and Jacob Parsont beat STCL in a close final! Loved coaching them with Adam Robertson!

281st CLOSED

The 281st dockets for Tuesday and Wednesday are cancelled and will be rescheduled. This court follows the inclement weather policy that if HISD is closed due to weather, than so is the 281st.

Please stay safe out there!

As a recipient of your fundraising efforts, I am incredibly grateful for you. Thank you for helping so many reach a wider audience and even though my campaign didn’t work out the way I had hoped, I have appreciated your help more than you know. Thank you.

Please know that I am so incredibly grateful for all of my family and friends and colleagues who have supported me, put up with me and basically helped me get through this last year. This Thanksgiving, I give thanks to all of you.

(And for the return of the UT/A&M game this weekend. Hook β€˜em!)

Ken Paxton can’t be deposed under oath in whistleblower lawsuit, Texas Supreme Court says The attorney general has agreed not to contest a lawsuit brought by former employees accusing him of retaliation after they said he abused his office.

I’m just going to put this right here. I just love reading about the Texas Supreme Court and what they are up to next.

After Election Day, I made the conscious effort to read a book instead of mindlessly playing on my phone. This morning, I just finished this fabulous book by Rupert Holmes and I’m so excited to pick up my next book today!
