The album was recorded in the very house shown on the cover. The lo-fi textures, static, and background noise were all intentionally included to reflect the atmosphere of the the old house and to explore the aesthetic of filtering urban noiseโrevealing the hidden beauty of sound within Seoul.
'Seoul Static' reflects a journey that began with intimate house concerts in a fading neighborhood of old Seoulโ13 shows hosted in his own living room from 2023 to 2024, under the name 'Bitter and Sound'. Those gatherings became the seed for a small but growing ambient community in South Korea.
Mohani is the solo project of Seoul-based musician Donghoon Han. Using instruments like the Ciat-Lonbarde, Monome Norns, and OP-1, he creates immersive ambient works focused on capturing fleeting moments of beauty in sound.
