I think there's a lot of learned helplessness about discovering, indicting and convicting criminals who give or receive bribes, and I think we need to unlearn this helplessness extremely fast and incredibly hard

It is about time.
Since every Republican in Congress is repeating their false talking point over & over that “Democrats want to shut down the govt to give free healthcare to illegal aliens,” it would be helpful if some Democrats in Congress could address that argument with facts at some point.
Hard to convince younger generations, but for decades, Republicans went on and on about how two of the worst things imaginable were (1) state intervention in the market and (2) DC using federal troops against US states; both so bad the people should be ready for armed rebellion in case it happens.
It appears this Aakash Singh worked for Sen. Tillis and is a 2017 law grad. He needs to be infamous.

If you think the attack on the Fed's Lisa Cook has nothing to do with you, you're wrong — any one of us may be next paulkrugman.substack.com/p/we-are-all...
Pritzker: Trump looked at the cameras and asked for me personally to say, Mr. President, can you do us the honor of protecting our city? Instead, I say, Mr. President, do not come to Chicago.
Your remarks about this effort have betrayed a continuing slip in your mental faculties
Make Sure Everyone Knows 😊💙
HOLY S**T look at this: Florida GOP Senator Rick Scott just quietly disclosed stock trades a year late – worth $26 MILLION – on companies HE LEGISLATED. 😳 This is corrupt to its core, and he's hoping no one will notice. You know what to do.

This guy, I swear.
That one person in the zombie movie who doesn't tell the rest of the group they got bitten.
I know you, Chicago — and I know you’re up to the difficult time we have ahead, thanks to this President.
SCOTUS thought they could ride the tiger and get what they wanted ideologically. In exchange, they would give him everything he wanted except the Fed. Just leave the Fed alone and you can ignore all federal law. But it ended the same way it has for everyone who tried to ride the tiger since 2016.
Meiselas: Stop both-sidesing it, media. Stop trying to sow division within the Democratic Party when we literally have military invasions into American cities, aided and abetted by red state governors, who, again, are the takers who wouldn't exist without the blue states
Rep. Veronica Escobar: "We need more people marching in the streets."
Constituent: You talked about abuses in the medicare and medicaid system and I found interesting that the president pardoned someone that defrauded the medicaid system for $1.3 billion
They should have let him cook. We could have had nice things.
As we recently reported, an internal Department of Homeland Security memo lays out top officials' hopes for much more military involvement in domestic law enforcement, and even says LA-type operations may be needed "for years to come."

KILMAR IN BALTIMORE: “Never lose hope. Promise me you’ll continue fight for freedom — not just for me, for everybody.”
He was just taken into ICE custody.
Walz says Harris "would have been a fantastic president... we wouldn't wake up every day to a bunch of shit on TV. We would wake up to an adult w/ compassion & dignity doing the work, not a manchild crying about whatever is wrong with him. May his fat ankles find something today. Petty as hell."
I’ve heard military law experts advise, if you are given an illegal command as a soldier, do not blindly obey. Call your attorney. Obeying an illegal command can result in a court martial.
