When you recruit "top talent" and they fall short of expectations after a year, shouldn't you reflect, "How did our actions impact them?"

It's a mix of conscious (there are times I think "we need a factory, a builder, an adapter, ... here") and later realisation. Sometimes I apply them mechanically.
