I had a stroke 5 years ago, and a year later started the selling off all the clothes, shoes and other things I could no longer use. I'm still going. Between that, trying to keep my house in order and attempting to return to work full-time, it's quite exhausting.

A nice lady gave me some old books, last w/e, & I've started to examine them. Among them, is this 1788 volume, detailing the wreck of The Antelope on the Pelew Is. (Palau) in Micronesia. It's not w/o damage & is missing its backboard, but it has some arresting plates & is battered but beautiful.
I have a small monthly disability payment following a stroke in 2019. I also work. But I've had one neighbour refer to me as a benefit scrounger. Without the payment, I wouldn't have access to a car.
