Exactly a year ago, we were in Tokyo. It’s all sort of a blur, but I am pretty sure the first thing we did after checking into our hotel was to go to 7-11 and get cash and then accidentally go to Golden Gai, a place we never planned on visiting, and meeting another gaijin from Texas.

Hooray! First time since 2019 that we’ve watched all the best picture noms. Left The Brutalist until last and that was a MUCH better 3+ hour experience than The Irishman.

Some doctor that contracts with the company I work for was butthurt about some dumb thing or whatever and he said he was going to report us to DOGE. I absolutely do not care except for the fact that this guy actually brought up DOGE. This world is so silly and bad.

I saw Heart Eyes last night. I had very low expectations and it surpassed them all. I didn’t know it was gonna be funny? And so gory but also full of heart?? But I also didn’t know Josh Ruben (Werewolves Within) was the director and THAT movie is incredible.

It is my birthday and I am an age that is somewhere near 40 or 50 and so far I’ve eaten chicken fried steak and eggs and some mediocre coffee. I am about to go lose a lot of money or win a lot of money at a casino but there is no in-between.

A few nights ago, we watched Sabrina Carpenter’s Xmas special and it was fine. BUT I feel like I would have liked it a lot more if I didn’t already watch Kacey Musgrave’s absolutely perfect special from a few years ago.

Now that Bluesky is the Twitter for people who aren’t Assholes™️, maybe I should use it more? Facebook is awful, instagram is only for influencer videos and zillowgonewild, so maybe should I use this as my livejournal? (I still have a lovejournal btw)
