I’m always looking forward to the next issue of the Old Farmer’s Almanac.

Cmon Wall Street Journal, don’t cave in like how nbc did
“BBC.com reaches 139 million visitors globally, including almost 60 million in the US, the corporation said.”
Expect that 60 million to decline precipitously.
I just experienced the paywall (tho the article’s from last month). BBC was my main source of news. Not anymore

I guess it’s because paramount really really wants that merger to happen. They want to kiss trumps butt to make sure that he’ll be ok with their plan. Ending a show like colbert’s is a good way of showing “goodwill” to trump. A good way of saying: “we’re sorry AND look, we can do you favors.”
I don’t usually watch many tv shows but it’s unfortunate Colbert’s show is being cancelled. And I’m 90% sure it’s because of the whole situation between paramount and Trump. Even tho they’re already giving Trump money, so I don’t see why they’re so afraid to keep a tv show that doesn’t support Trump
One can only hope the democrats will take over after the next election to undo all the damage the republicans are causing amp.cnn.com/cnn/2025/07/...
Whoa I didn’t even know about this good news in June www.bbc.com/news/article...
Cell phone reception is so frustrating nowadays
So cool! I like all things linen. Probably my favorite fabric 🤓
I can’t wait for when Bluesky hopefully eventually adds a bookmark feature 🤓
I like how much friendlier this app is; on X I didn’t really make any new friends. It just seemed like it was a bunch of people being obsessed with getting likes, yet at the same time the site seemed kinda barren bc it seemed like there were so many inactive and bot accounts
I feel it makes a lot of sense. For, I feel all books leave little traces of themselves in us. Imprints on the mind, maybe. Even the books we’ve disliked the most have left something in us.
Like, his life and personality partially consists of all the books he has read, and I really felt that quote and could relate to it.
I’ve always liked this one quote by Borges I believe, from an interview(?), wherein he said that he is all the books that he has read.
I sleep with books I haven’t read. Disappointing. I would like to have read them, become acquainted with them, and give them the attention they deserve. And afterwards, be able to wake up looking at books I’ve actually read!
I have a lot of books in my bedroom that I’d like to actually read because they’re in that particularly meaningful location: the very same room I sleep.

The only unsolicited notifications I really like, besides the awesome ones regarding people I know & interactions with them like “likes” and stuff, are the notifications for peoples’ birthdays.
It’s really annoying. X does the same thing even when you don’t have push notifications toggled. I really dislike it. I hope Bluesky doesn’t do it ever.
I think they purposely do it to force you to interact with the app. I literally open the app, open the notifications, and then close the app again after I do what I have to do about the notifications.
Or at least, how spammy social media has gotten. I swear, Facebook gets so annoying with the notifications and stuff. I get notifications all the time from pages i liked years ago. Or group pages. And I keep clicking “ignore notifications like this” and Facebook doesn’t listen
It’s crazy to think how spammy the internet has gotten since about like…2016(?) 2017(?)
Probably have to work tomorrow. I would hope I’ll have time to read
Finished mowing the lawn. It was pretty rough today. Had to take a break and drink a Gatorade
Finished Cry, the beloved country. It was a great book. I honestly was worried it wouldn’t be too interesting because it seemed like a book that would be read in schools but it was actually great. Very moving, very empathetic, and human.
What an idiot. You can’t just revoke citizenships from citizens lol www.reuters.com/world/us/tru...
Because I like the character limit of Mastodon, and the laid-back nature of Bluesky, I generally use both. And I only use X because some people I know are still mainly active there and/or they only have accounts there
Saw the documentary. It was really good. I didn’t know that the ceo was apparently a closeted gay. He’s actually currently potentially going on trial due to sex trafficking I think(?).
Hoping to watch the abercrombie and fitch documentary. That store always amused me bc of the soft-core borderline pornographic nature of the bags, the wall art, etc.
Bluesky needs to keep growing bc the bigger character limit compared to X is enough to make me happy about it lol
