Oh hey... That's my name on the screen over there....
One of the few things I was looking forward to people finding.
Original mk4 would crash if you were playing Meat when you beat the game.
Now Meat is all of the canon.

The Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection is a tremendous chunk of game history lovingly preserved with detail and love.
When it comes to collections and remastered games, the bar has officially been raised thanks to @digitaleclipse.bsky.social.
My review at Forbes: www.forbes.com/sites/davidj...
We (@area5.bsky.social) are unbelievably honored to have been a part of @digitaleclipse.bsky.social's Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection. They're the undisputed masters at collections-as-preservation and it warms our souls to be a part of that effort. There's over 3 HOURS of our doc work in the game!
Wanted to make sure that there's a way for people to play if there were concerns about playing the game on streams depending on your brand.
If tournaments want to preserve a pg-13 tone, we will have that option available to you in the games that allow you to disable blood in games that allow it.
Blood has been an option in MK since the arcade original; operators could flip a dipswitch to enable/disable the red stuff based on their location's needs.
We are retaining those options across all platforms for #MKLK. It's all part of the preservation, so blood or no blood remains your call!

"Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection is shaping to be a great introduction to show people what made the series so iconic and influential for its time and beyond."
I wasn't expecting to be able to announce this early, but it kind of got outed in this interview (at around the 41 minute mark). π
I am proud (and a bit terrified) to announce that I am the official character history and lore writer for Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection.

I guest host this episode of the @gamehistoryorg.bsky.social podcast to talk with the co-founder of Computer Entertainer to learn the inside story behind this magazine run by two sisters that has become one of the most important resources for video game historians.

It's the last day to come check out Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection at the @atari.com booth at Gamescom!
There's something really exciting/thrilling about putting out wavenet to the world...
Like bringing Bigfoot out on stage and being a little bit nervous about people's reactions to seeing the fable in the flesh.
I really love when modern video game collections/compilations have been including the bad games in their franchise. Because bad games deserve preservation too and can be interesting oddities to check out. In closing, Iβm now very interested in the Mortal Kombat Legacy Collection.
Rest your controller in Goro's loving arms with this Goro controller statue from the Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection - Kollector's Edition.
Pre-orders end August 31st.

Free on YouTube. Saori Izawa is a beast.
Worth it just for the flight scenes alone, but the movie is very sweet as well.
Tyty, working on a fighting game is a full circle moment. Looking forward to officially crossing it off of my bucket list.

Yup - We have been working on Mortal Kombat!
Finish them!
Genuinely excited to bring people the Wavenet version of the UMK3.
There's something about a version almost no one has seen in 20 years, much less seen period.
There's a lot more to the game than I think people are aware of, and it's a lot of fun.
Hi all, I'm going to be using this account for professional purposes, so I'm excited to finally be able to talk about the game I'm working on:
