A small knitted mouse toy made from random scrap yarn. The original pattern called for a carrot on the cardigan (it was originally meant for a bunny) but I thought chillies would make her more spicy 🔥🐭🌶️

A few of year's ago I was commissioned by a close contact (my mother) to create a vest inspired by #Missoni (see last image). I managed to find a wonderful gradient yarn called Star Ruby by Cotton Kings (found on Hobbii) that matched the original reference photo.

This project was worked on during my daily commute last year and took a month to finish. The pattern is from the 'Second Book of Modern Lace Knitting' (modern when it was published in 1972) and it is the Thistle Design 'Balmoral' 🧶

A taupe-coloured, cropped jacket. The buttons are a bit asymmetric (which I don't mind). Just what I was looking for really!
#Thrifted a £1 Shein jacket as I thought it had potential...
It didn't fit perfectly so I improved the fit by adding:
- more buttons/button holes with my sewing machine, which also meant raising the collar
- press-studs under the collar for structure

The first knitted project I ever finished was this acrylic mohair scarf back in the early 2010s. Picked up the yarn for £3 on a trip to Llandudno with my mum and grandma. Took ages to complete but it is probably one of my prized creations keeping me warm in winter 🧶😄
