Recently some Americans showed a great deal of concern for civilians being needlessly murdered on the other side of the world, and every powerful institution worked together to punish, expel, silence, and deport those Americans. I think Americans don’t relish murder, but our leaders do.

UPDATE: Staff at the ICE concentration camp in Dilley, Texas have begun raiding the dormitories of kids and their parents to confiscate and destroy letters from the children. This is in response to the ace reporting by @micarosenberg et al for ProPublica:

“Lorth Sim, a Cambodian national, died in ICE custody on Monday, the seventh since the start of the year and nearly the 40th since Trump took office. ICE has not updated its website to reflect this latest detainee death as of the time of this writing.”

At the same Texas concentration camp:

Someone has sure already made this observation but the fact they can convert all those empty warehouses into prison camps means they could have converted them into housing, community centers, job training centers or, hell, libraries or schools all along. It’s always a matter of will not resources.
