There are two guys at @conofthenorth.bsky.social that bring a LAN party's worth of older PC's and Apple computers thSt they have kept running longer than I've been going to the Con.

Decorations (two colors of leaves and a gold column) are around the edge. We didn't use the butterfly or the frog but they add interesting decisions to the game; we'll use them in a future play. The monkey blocks placement after someone moves it (worth 2 pts at the end of the game if you were the last to move it).

Just got to play Monkey Palace, a LEGO board game I got from the vendor hall from Battleground Cafe at @conofthenorth.bsky.social ! A surprisingly good LEGO board game (but my only history with their board games is LEGO Creator)

Yesterday I got in one game in the middle of my day of volunteering at @conofthenorth.bsky.social .

Betrayal at House in the Hill

First game went super fast, got the haunt after 6-7 explored rooms. Thankfully for the non-traitors, we just had to close some portals and the traitor wasn't buff.

Today at @conofthenorth.bsky.social I started my day in registration, now I'm about to play Flapjacks and Sasquatches.

We are collecting pop tabs for the Ronald McDonald House. Drop your tabs off at registration! Make sure to take a guess at how many tabs are in the giant container. Best guess wins a fabulous prize. Ronald McDonald House Charities, Upper Midwest provides a home-away-from-home for the families of seriously ill or injured children being treated in nearby hospitals. The center graphic is the official logo for Con of the North. It has "Con of the North" in black text with the 'N' of North surrounded by a compass. After the word "the" is a 20 sided dice with the 20 side facing the viewer. None of the other numbers are visible. In the lower left is a picture of a pop tab, broken off from its container.

Just over a week away from the Con and we can't wait to game with y'all! Don't forget about the tab collection being run in partnership with Ronald McDonald House Charities, Upper Midwest! Donation boxes will be in registration along with a contest to guess the number of tabs in a giant container.

Con of the North is thrilled to partner with Ronald McDonald House Charities, Upper Midwest! During the convention next month, there will be donation boxes to collect pop tabs while nearly 1600 events take place. Raise money for charity while you play... and maybe win a prize while you're at it!

AGDQ is a great example of how an organization of some kind can simply choose correctly and chase out stinky transphobes and misogynists and bigots and be 500000% better for it. they raise more money for charity like, every year. excluding bigots = more success
