I was thinking about this and why it's always "a dead giveaway", and I have a theory:
I think their hair always looks that way because there's no other Black folks to 'keep it in check'. You have to be pretty far removed from Black spaces (physically and culturally) for that to happen though.

other groups may not understand nor care but all have experienced that when Blackness wins, ALL marginalized groups benefit.
the issue we are running into is having the same enemy often makes marginalized groups aligned even unintentionally so it is often more strategic to use one another for leverage to get ahead… as of late tho, our would-be allies have done more harm than good.

standing for Blackness is standing for other marginalized groups, whether intentional or not.
in this system, our racial caste sits at the bottom. other types of marginalization is modeled after ours. to be “treated as the nigger” is the standard of disregard, exploitation & harm.
