Two people at open mic night at a local brewhouse.
Out to support my wife at a local open mic night with one of our friends.
Well at least the furnace died near the end of winter.
Really struggling to exist lately. Could be worse, sure. Certainly could be better though
Saw Iron Lung, and Dracula at the theater today. Both were good.
Bad Movie Night! We're watching 'The Stuff,' 'Starkid,' and after dinner we started 'Sex and Zen' but yeeted out to 'Werewolves of the Third R....'
Started the day strong and ended poorly. The Stuff was great.
Saw LotR 1 and 2 this weekend in the theater. Stine's first time seeing them, and thanks to the snow we'll watch the extended 3rd at home today.
It was nice to see (pre-recorded) Peter Jackson talk about the film beforehand.
Custom made wood bass, detailed rounded edgework with various pointy bits. It even stands up straight on its own (leaning against something)
Spotted a nice custom made wooden bass at an open mic night (my wife is singing and playing flute)
Introduce yourself with 5 concerts you've seen. (Not in order)

One of the things Iβm hearing more and more about is the option of a federal tax strike. If youβre curious: taxstrike.info/faq/
Yay the powers back! Next year i'm buying a generator
If i'm buying directly from the author, whatever they have is fine.
I prefer a matched set because it looks nicer, however I prioritize 1st editions even if they don't match.
8 fish (or fish-adjacent) and spaghetti, hooray for the one dinner a year i look forward to every year
The last box of trades/hardcovers is empty. A to Z fits on shelves with two shelves to spare (not counting books by two or more authors).
The paperbacks need probably another 100 ft ish of shelves, that's a spring problem.
For the first time since I left the barracks, I am close to getting all my books on a shelf. Relatively close anyway, the non-fiction has no hope anytime soon, nor the ARCs.
I think I'm happy with only about 10 boxes of duplicates so far with only 30~ boxes left to unpack.
I re-boxed half of my dads hallmark ornament collection and realized there were more duplicates than I thought. The pile of stuff I'm willing to part with is growing
Today sucked. Anyway I can't put up any more shelves until it warms up outside so I've started to organize the books on shelves.
Arcs go back into a box, so the regular books can all be unpacked. Estimating around 30 to 40 boxes remaining.

A brief return of the Murderbot Humble Bundle! The charity is still World Central Kitchen.
5e is the obvious safe choice (widely known).
But Mythras is probably more interesting?
Whichever one you have more fun with is also a good choice.
Yesterdays Bad Movie Night was a Thankskilling experience. Jack-O was good, and Snow Beast was fine.
The real winner was after everybody left, we watched Hundreds of Beavers.
Go watch it on youtube.
Sometimes I laugh at the way books get packaged.
Luckily nothing was damaged, but the 400$ worth in an international box really begs for even a modicum of protection.
I've finally finished unpacking. 16 signature plates counted, though I don't know who the top one is. The idea is to make a collage of signatures from anyone who's written for or done art for Warhammer.
Thank you again Gavin, Victoria, Guy, and John for indulging me and assiting!
A book cover against a blue background reading COMING FEBRUARY 17, 2026. The book cover shows a blonde-haired human New Capenna shield mage in the robes of a first year Strixhaven mage-scholar, casting a domed shield around herself. The school is behind her. The text on the cover reads "STRIXHAVEN | OMENS OF CHAOS | SEANAN MCGUIRE | New York Times Bestselling Author."
It's OMENS OF CHAOS yelling time again! Have you pre-ordered YOUR copy yet?
Next time I see you I'll have all of these. Didn't realize so many were in print, it's sometimes hard to track down if a story is in a book somewhere. And I ran out of time.
Thanks again!
