We did our wrapping very last minute this year—we finished at 7:15am Pacific time, Christmas morning 😂 (In plenty of time to head out the door to my brother’s house!)

I'd add the one that my spouse and I agreed to early on: Always assume best intentions; even if the words the other said COULD BE interpreted in a negative way, assume that wasn't the intent--and if you doubt what they meant, then ASK.

We need to keep talking about how weird it is for people to think they should have a say in reading choices for anyone's kids but their own. You're not in charge of what other people's children eat or wear or when they go to bed. Why on earth would you get to choose what they read?
