People keep saying this and sure it’s possible but these guys are from Texas. There have been people with Hispanic names living in Texas since long before it was a U.S. state. It’s possible their families have been in Texas longer than most commenters’ families have been in America.

I’ve been thinking more about this nonsense and what it means. I don’t think it’s a flex — a performative expression of power and intimidation — like the advertisements for ICE positions. Too obscure and lacking in flair. Instead I think it likely reflects real internal problems.
