The Gliders are likely counted as bikes through SDOT's inductive counters, though the type of counter varies a bit between locations. Not all of the counters are able to distinguish between modes.

While 60% of the Seattle Transit Measure funds more daily transit service, it also invests in building better access to transit.

Here's an example: new bus stop improvements, built in-house by SDOT crews, serving Route 65 in Lake City and Routes 124 and 125 in Delridge.

Building this missing piece to the cityโ€™s bike network wasnโ€™t simple. The historic nature of Pioneer Square and the age of the infrastructure made adding modern bike and signal improvements complicated, requiring careful design and coordination.

Construction officially began this week with underground work, and more visible changes on the street will follow in the coming weeks.
