I think my frustration with the terms that I listed is that most of them mean different things to different people. I think that the dating scene has gotten so into shorthand that it’s providing less clarity instead of more. I also think that a lot of these are barriers against vulnerability.
So dating and “not into settling down”
I think we need to put the following terms on dating profiles to rest:
- “cute dates” (what does that even mean?!)
- “intentional connections” (have you… not been intentionally dating?)
- “relationship anarchy” (I think we’re letting fuckbois run the show)
- “solo poly” (DATING IT IS CALLED DATING)
