The Brooding Soldier at Vancouver Corner near St Julian at Ypres
Itβs a very personal thing!
To my mind the finest war memorial
on the Western Front. Haunting, poignant and enigmatic, itβs the war memorial of war memorials #WW1 #FWW
Good luck, you're going to be an amazing Mum.
One of my favourite pictures of all the ones I have taken on the battlefields. My son's first visit to the Menin Gate. I'd explained the size and scale of it, but he was genuinely amazed at how many names there are. #WW1 #FWW
We've not had a single item of post for almost two weeks. At 6.30 this evening, 19 bits of mail were put through the letterbox.

Iβve done a lot of research into Q Boats and Iβm not sure thatβs correct. Most of the would have sunk with that weight!

Thatβs so sad - itβs like when you see that Old Contemptibles plaques have been stolen from graves
From my collection, a WW1 non-official badge for the Gas Light and Coke Company #WW1 #FWW
Yes I am bereft, thereβs a huge cat shaped hole in our home

From my collection - a Karl Goetz satirical medallion showing the Kaiser on a hobby horse to a homeless destitute family of a wounded soldier - "I WILL LEAD YOU....TO A GLORIOUS FUTURE. #WW1 #FWW
Sounds very much like William!
My son is severely autistic and suffers from massive self confidence issues. 3 months ago we bought him piano and he decided to teach himself how to play. This afternoon he sat at the station and played the public piano to a round of applause. I am a very proud and slightly in awe Dad!
The beginning of the end - in our latest podcast we look at the events of July 1918 when the German offensive ran out of steam and the tide finally turned towards the Allies. Podcast out next Sunday. #WW1 #FWW
