Completion progress for finding goals and Dragon Coins can be checked by pressing a shoulder button in the map. After defeating Bowser, all completed Castles and Fortresses can be reentered, which is important since Dragon Coins can now be found within them. And finally, voices!

There’s also bonus cutscenes for collecting all Dragon Coins (which turns them into Princess Coins that can be repeatedly collected) and for finding every goal, which is what triggers the “alternate Dinosaur Land” instead of simply completing the Special World.

This remake features some enhancements, such as Mario and Luigi being freely switchable with the latter having his own playstyle. He jumps higher and slower, his fireballs bounce higher, hitting the multi coin block causes coins to spill out, and Yoshi can spit out any enemies he eats as projectiles
