Ten years ago, I campaigned with thousands for the Marriage Referendum.
Strong families build strong communities.
Marriage is an institution that can bind us, roots us, and lift us up: a vital element for a society that honours love & reciprocity.
Votes at 16 says Soc Dems: It's a Sideshow We Don’t Need:
Political apathy isn’t an age problem; it’s a trust problem. And trust in politicians is at rock bottom across the board, not just among the young.

Every death, Israeli or Palestinian is a tragedy. Every child killed or taken hostage is an atrocity. Hate fuels hate. I stand with peacemakers in Israel & Palestine who reject zealotry & extremism.
End the genocidal slaughter, deliver aid, free all hostages, end illegal settlements🕊️
Vatican spokesperson confirms new pope’s name honors Leo XIII, champion of Catholic social teaching. In an era of wealth inequality, displacement, & AI disruption, calls for worker dignity, common good & respect rings true. #Unions #WorkersRights #Solidarity
If the left can’t rally behind Joe Duffy as a unity candidate for President, it’s doomed to stay fractured.

I’m hearing rumours that Conor McGregor is so delusional he thinks he’s gonna knock out the Vatican vote and become the next Pope.
We need to move away from the solipsism and nihilism that prioritise “me, me, me.”
Politics can feel like a performance—endless debates on social media that divide more than they unite.

I saw Pope Francis in real life and looking at him dressed from head to toe in white, my overall impression was “he’s very clean.”
He wasn’t perfect, but he was human. Pope Francis did his best to champion the common good, urging us to prioritise compassion, justice, and solidarity.

I stand firm on Irish neutrality. The triple lock—UN, government, and parliamentary consent—protects our children from foreign wars, preserving Ireland’s soul and its role as a diplomatic voice of reason.
Get up out of bed folks.
Do you think successful people like John Lennon stayed in bed all day!?

Who cheer when soldier lads march by,
Sneak home and pray you'll never know
The hell where youth and laughter go.”
Led an exciting workshop tonight on digital campaigns & comms for activists in @siptu.bsky.social’s @earlyyearsunion.bsky.social push.

Met with Dave Tobin, #Limerick cycling activist & Vice Chair of Irish Cycling Campaign for a chat. Discussed uniting trade unionists to boost active travel & public transport. His strategic vision & focus on the social impact of transport policy on workers is inspiring.

This is great news for the trade union movement and particularly, for workers in Paul’s home of #Limerick.
Paul has always been an excellent campaigner and advocate for workers rights and union strength
