I tend to experience the opposite. For instance I have completed every OTHER thing in Skyrim, Fallout 4, and CP2077, but never completed the main quest.
I finally served this year. Wasn't terrible, but certainly boring.
Panzer Paladin is super rad. Gimme more mecha games that have me doing stuff outside the robot from time to time.
