6 years today since a brilliant cock-up and the subtitles from a crime film on BBC2 started playing out over the BBC News channel.
Taking the train I once took every weekday for 22 years. Don’t know how I did it.
Glad I don’t have to do it every day anymore.

Ah well. I lifted the post directly from my Facebook memories of 5 years ago so there we go.
This is on a par with Arthur Conan Doyle who, for a laugh, sent an anonymous telegram to five of his friends saying "We Are Discovered, Flee". One of them was never seen again.
Today I discovered that when Peter Sellers was going through a particularly paranoid phase in his life, Spike Milligan sent him a telegram saying "IGNORE FIRST TELEGRAM".
There was, of course, no first telegram.
