I really should be off social media, and playing the piano - with feeling Richmond-upon-Thames/Ayrshire, Scotland.

This makes more sense. The Β£2.99 Benchmark: In the mid-1970s, the pound was much stronger. An LP costing Β£2.99 in 1974 would, when adjusted for inflation, cost over Β£20 today. Some estimates even place the equivalent, in terms of purchasing power, closer to Β£25.

I got it as a birthday present in 1974. I’m still puzzled to this day. - The LPs were expensive, Β£3 each x3. In today’s money that’s apparently Β£120 in total. I simply can’t believe that mum and dad would ever have paid that.

First got to know Faschingsschwank from an LP I bought in 1973. Haven't heard it much for many years until I started looking to Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli's career. And it as a staple of his repertoire.

Intrigued! Checked up..."In the fourth episode (1st mvt.) , after coyly alluding to his own Carnaval, Schumann cheekily chides the Viennese, who at this period had outlawed anything French, by introducing very briefly a disguised version of the banned-in-Vienna Marseillaise"

I once heard a radio advert for home security systems. In the soundtrack, you could hear sinister owls hooting at night. Contact telephone number?
Part of it was: 28-28-20.

So, first of all, of course it was Trump.

But even if they were telling the truth, "We give staffers who post videos of the Obamas as apes access to the agenda-setting, decree-sending, market-moving account of the president of the United States" is not the exculpatory statement they think it is.

In 1953, Jorge Bolet played in Tampa, Florida. Also in the concert was Sinfonia Piccola (1935) by Heikki Suolahti, a 17 year old Finnish boy who died at 18. The score was given to conductor Thor Johnson by no less a figure than Sibelius, in Finland in 1950.

Mrs Mary Louise Curtis Bok, founder of the Curtis Institute of Music, Philadelphia (1924), created an endowment of $12 million for free tuition.
She later said that all she had done and put into the Institute was justified "in this one student"
