I watched curling videos because of the Olympics and now YT is trying desperately to show me as many sports videos as it can. It’s awful.

just a reminder that you already know everything you need to know about the state of the union and unless you will enjoy watching it there's a million other things you can do. you don't have to be "in the loop." the loop is a trash place to be tbh
Yet another reason to not keep idols, I guess.
What on earth could have possibly caused this?
"Unvaccinated people with the confirmed measles cases account for 94% of this year’s cases so far."
Ah. Of course.
I have followed a couple of them and it is helping. I think it might also just require a bit more patience than I was giving it 😅
That sounds like a delicious blend! I also love your mug!
Makes sense. I generally use YouTube for longer content, so I'm being shown a bunch of clips of videos I've already seen. :/
I've been using it a lot more since I deleted TikTok and removed Meta apps off of my phone, but I feel like I keep seeing the same videos from the people I'm subscribed to and even if I mark a video as not interested, I keep seeing similar ones. Any tips for improving the algorithm?

From what I’ve been able to find, it looks like the 5.5 quart bowl-lift mixer still has the same internal parts. This is the kind that we have and I can confirm it’s been great.

Can someone in #Nerdfighteria tell me how the Nerdfighter feed works? Do I have to use the hashtag or something else? I’m still not too familiar with how Bluesky works.
Do KitchenAid mixers have that reputation now? We got ours as a wedding present seven years ago and it’s been a workhorse.
I’m also looking to move away from Goodreads. Anyone else use Fable?

My goal was 52 books this year, but I’m very happy with the 49 I read. Always looking for book recommendations for next year! #booksky
We thought we just heard our three year old say “what the hell” but it turns out he just has a deep southern twang about him and he actually said “up the hill.” #parenting
An excerpt from The Washington Post's interview with photographer Christopher Anderson: Question: "Were there moments that you missed? Anything that happened that’s on the cutting room floor?" Anderson: "I don’t think there’s anything I missed that I wish I’d gotten. I’ll give you a little anecdote: Stephen Miller was perhaps the most concerned about the portrait session. He asked me, 'Should I smile or not smile?' and I said, 'How would you want to be portrayed?' We agreed that we would do a bit of both. And then when we were finished, he comes up to me to shake my hand and say goodbye. And he says to me, 'You know, you have a lot of power in the discretion you use to be kind to people.' And I looked at him and I said, 'You know, you do, too.'"

I cannot begin to properly articulate how upsetting it is to have had people baselessly accuse trans people of being groomers and pedophiles only for it to come out that they were deliberately doing this as part of a project to provide cover to actual groomers and pedophiles in positions of power
