If you have to have the electrician out regardless, can you get them to install a plug instead of wiring in the dishwasher so this won’t be a problem in future?

I just finished a delightful library program on math & patterns. Delightful except that 2 of the kiddos had grody-sounding wet coughs 😱
At least they were doing a good job coughing into their elbows??
Grandma was also a tenant farmer, nanny, short-order cook… anything to support her family & claw their way out of poverty. Gran was a homemaker, Girl Scout Council director, summer camp director, & after her 6 kids were launched she went back to school & had a whole 2nd career as a nurse.
Grandaddy was a tenant farmer, then Navy air crewman, then construction worker, then eventually a construction project manager for a national bank chain. Grandpop was also in the navy as a young man (not sure what he did in the service), then a furniture salesman.
I am EXCELLENT an making a checklist. My checklists are thorough and detailed, arranged in ideal sequence, with highly legible fonts. Remembering the checklist exists? Ever referring to it again? Not so much.

I was in a meeting this morning where literally every person present was a perimenopausal librarian. Someone mentioned menopause symptom havoc on a break, and then we were all comparing and sharing. It can really wreck you in a variety of interesting and unpredictable ways!

They lost an entire REFRIGERATOR of mine. It was a small fridge for under a counter, but still... And they were absolutely adamant that it had been delivered to the mailbox. Ma'am, this mailbox is not a Tardis. It is not bigger on the inside. There is definitely no refrigerator in this mailbox.

How does the process work? I had assumed you stamped the letters/designs into your mugs, then painted the glaze into the impressions with a little brush, but this is such fine detail. Do you dip the stamp in black glaze first like an ink pad?

One useful thing about this unending bitter cold weather (in a region where we are not in any way used to nor prepared for it), is that we can take advantage to defrost the freezer, and just put all the frozen food in boxes on the porch where it is even colder than a freezer.
