My son decided there should be a rec league for moms who have only ever learned anything about a sport for their kids' sake. We can attempt to play while the kids spectate. He also said everyone gets a jersey that says number 1 because every kid thinks they have the number 1 mom. I love him so much.

The one and only time I ever did anything devious as a teenager was the day I convinced a few friends we should leave school to hit dairy queen and see if we could eat an entire dq ice cream cake in one sitting (we didn't quite finish it but dug out the last of the crunchies before calling it quits)

ALSO why are house numbers usually kinda hidden and dark here?? In my fam's neighborhood in Canada they are all large numbers and brightly lit in a consistent place on each house, or at least in some Detroit suburbs they're painted on the curbs

It's possible! In 2009 I blew a head gasket (my fault, not the car's, haha) and sold it to a guy who was going to school to be a mechanic. He rebuilt the engine and was still driving it as of 2012, with somewhere around 300,000 miles on it
That VW was a funny car. The car alarm would go off whenever it was too hot outside and the front headlights liked to fall out sometimes! It was also so low to the ground that I was constantly getting stuck in the snow. Not the most reliable but still a cute car.

A few years ago he started going to open mics and for the first time I watched him prioritize something he enjoys. I have seen his life and joy return. He doesn't have grandiose dreams but having people support his music is a dream come true for him! Please help me give him the best birthday!
My dad has worked multiple jobs most of my life. Many of my values came from watching him lead his union. He had to un-retire for financial reasons and his current job is physically demanding and hard on his health. He has been unable to find gentler work due to his age.
