3) the American Association of Art Therapy (arttherapy.org) has a standard of never interpreting someone else’s art without their input, and not at all unless you are an art therapist.
1) they can no longer claim it’s YOUR personal opinion.
2) when children choose any color, they refute the claim of “indoctrination” of your students, and can’t claim that is the meaning in every case.
You can choose ANY color to represent yourself, it does not have to be your skin color. The personal meaning behind the color you choose can be shared with our class after the project IF you want, or it can remain private if you like
