In place of Venus is Emmrich Volkarin, entirely nude save for his customary grave-dowry and glove. He holds a sheer blood-red shroud-cloth over his shoulder which comes down to cover his groin as Venus's hair does in the original painting.
Just realized I should post this here, too. The Birth of Venus featuring Emmrich Volkarin, an idea which occurred to me out of the blue while I was driving the other day. Every time I look at it I grin like an idiot and then ask myself what I'm doing with my life.
If Emmrich's hobby is alchemy/plants, Vorgoth's is art, and Audric's is architecture... what's Myrna's? (Next to Emmrich, she's my favorite Watcher - sorry Vorgoth!)

Started a Veilguard Rook/Emmrich arranged marriage fic. I'm unwell about this game and about this necromancer specifically. Both of these necromancers actually.
But seriously, consider treating yourself to this Kickstarter. DPP has a phenomenal fulfillment record and unforth works soooo hard to make the whole process a quality experience for literally everyone involved. Lot of love going into each and every DPP publication, and this is no exception.

This is so true! That makes it more like $1 a story for the beautiful A4 coffee table book! Don't like reading? (First of all who are you?) $2.50 each for 20 beautiful full color A4 prints is ALSO a steal! Everybody wins!
No but actually if you haven't backed this yet, you should. These days twenty bucks (the backer level for the e-book) sounds kinda steep BUT that's about a dollar per story. If you can swing like... $2.50 a story? You can get a nice coffee table book. Just saying.

I *highly* recommend Mourn Watcher mage Rook for the optimal Necromance. My first (and dearest) Rook is a MW mage and I regret nothing.
I've heard things about other Rook backgrounds and other romances, but the levels of nerding-out that Mourn Watch Rook has with Emmrich are unparalleled. I'm at once having withdrawals and refusing to play the game again because I'm too busy thinking about Emmrich calling me "Dearest" in battle.

I am so normal about Dragon Age: The Veilguard, honest! Rated T, no warnings, no spoilers, ~2k. Rook/Emmrich but only tangentially. Mostly it's just the Veilguard razzing Rook for being a lovesick puppy.
