We had a great Institute Day excursion to Tzuba, enjoying the winter weather (that in most countries can be characterized as summer)

How is the photosynthetic machinery disassemble when needed? How are redox signals involved? We use protein biochemistry tools to uncover this and elucidate the effects on crops post harvest. https://galwittenberg.wixsite.com/wittenberg-lab

We are considering purchasing antibodies from PhytoAB and are looking for reviews. If you bought antibodies from them, we would really appreciate hearing from you about your experience.
That's only if you are talking about a single tree. There is a Quaking Aspen forest that is actually all one organism, that is much older. It has been estimated to be at least 14000 years old (possibly even 16000). It is also the heaviest organism on Earth
Very excited to soon be on my way to the Gordon Research Conference on Photosynthesis!!

We're excited to start our first experiment on the causes of chilling injuries in peaches!
A great opportunity to work with @taw-lab.bsky.social
I might be a bit biased...
Looking for talented, motivated people to join me!
We will try to uncover how plants disassemble the photosynthetic apparatus in senescence and fruit ripening, and uncover the mechanisms governing chilling injuries post harvest.
I promise that it will be interesting and fun.
