A trip down to Warwickshire/Staffordshire produced my first Hume's Warbler at Lea Marston, which followed a visit to #RSPB Middleton Lakes, 2+ Bittern, 3 Green Woodpecker, Great Egret, and lots of wetland passerines.

White-Throated Dipper, Cinclus cinclus gularis

Despite the constant rain, the birds keep coming, it was good to see a Willow Tit at Llyn Brenig, aswell as a male Goshawk over a road in the area. 2 Dippers, including one singing, at Betws-y-coed, was also nice.

Hi, we didn't stay too late yesterday but the gates should be open until 5pm, so it'll hopefully be dark enough by then for it to roost, we used the National Trust car park and walked back towards the meadows. It was pretty mobile whilst we were there but plenty of other birders about, good luck!

It was in the end, we first had it (presumably the same bird) on the deep lagoon from Tal Y Fan about an hour and a half earlier, upon walking to Carneddau Hide it seemed to have disappeared and by the time we got to the Estuary (near the car park) it flew in calling before feeding along there 👍🏻
