Went down the rabbit hole looking to see if the lake attracts migrating birds. It does! A few refuges around there BUT access is limited due to elevated lake levels.
Interesting. On a dinosaur scale, they really didn’t persist very long. I saw only one reference that said changes in climate and vegetation might have taken them out. The rest were silent on extinction. An intriguing mystery! and “flowers killed off the stegosaurs” sounds like a haunting book.
