The argument of "all he does is score goals" being met with "that's a pretty important part of the game as far as I'm concerned!"
Potentially a striker with a really strong scoring record (possibly at a perceived lower level) who doesn't get involved in too much else of the game for a side who are up against it quite often. Kris Boyd for Scotland comes to mind.
Need to have a skilful midfielder who got shunted onto the wing circa 2007-2012ish - thinking Joe Cole on the left ("if he was Italian or Spanish they'd have him in the 10"), or a more obscure example of Walter Smith sticking Charlie Adam on the left for Rangers at times.
This was a really good listen, would like more of these looking retrospectively at different teams' 2024 seasons over the course of the off-season if possible!
Need to trust McGlynn and would get behind him if he signs but don't think Barrie McKay is what we need. Not better than Morrison, Miller or Ethan Ross imo and would presumably take weeks to get up to speed.
Falkirk 2021/22
Glowing reviews for it on Untappd
Would be very interested to know what the Fifers have paid for Young after he's looked good in L2 for about 4 months. Morrison has been smashing in goals for years at a higher level than that playing on the wing and has 18 months left on his deal.
Yeah I registered a few mins ago so should be good to go
Isak for me please
Brophy looked a bit off it and I reckon Oliver would've given us more as the starter, but suppose you don't get him up to speed by sitting on the bench.
Not quite at our best today but still had the better of the play and could easily have won if the ball had broken our way in a couple of key moments. QP very well organised and did a great job shutting Spencer down and forcing us into firing crosses into the box.
No one will convince me that that ploughed field in Dingwall today is a better option than the surface we've got at The Falkirk Stadium. Ball can't run properly anywhere on the park and it's a mud heap in loads of different sections.
That Hamsters kit tonight is the worst in Scottish football history I reckon
Don't understand how you can assemble a squad with a wage bill of ยฃ16.5m and have that much of a vacuum in the centre of the park. Hearts style of play is murder but so limited by the options they've got to play in midfield.
This can't be the same Penrice, Spittal and Wilson I've been reading fawning propaganda about for months on end.
There's no way that Raith should be as bad as this given the squad and budget they've got. Paying six figures a year to each of Hanlon and Stevenson can't be helping I'm sure but that complete diddy in the dugout is holding them back massively.
The Nigels at Alexandra Palace are unquestionably the worst crowd in sports
Livi are streets ahead of any other non-Falkirk side I've seen in the league. They're big, strong and play wirh a purpose. Better technical players middle to front than they get credit for too. Thistle are complete garbage - shapeless, disorganised hoofball.
Even if there wasn't a bidding war he has to be our first seven figure sale. Need a sell on percentage and add ons for appearances at both club and international level. Already a better player than Ralston and he'll continue to improve.
He should be getting talk as a DPOY candidate
Only half joking when I say it makes sense to televise all of our games since we are the best side to watch in Scotland over the last 18 months. Doubt the TV money will cover the loss in gate receipts and 12 o'clock on a Sunday is a pain in the arse but the country demands more FFC.
What
Incredible how far the club has come in the subsequent three years. Fan ownership, an excellent CEO and a proper manager making all the difference. That day was definitely the angriest I've ever been at a football game.
Enjoyed that tonight. Strolled it for the most part and could easily have scored 6 or 7. Would've had Nesbitt MotM if he hadn't missed 3 great chances. Keelan Adams is something else too.
Ohio State only dropping to 7 while Miami gets flushed out the playoff spots completely seems a bit inconsistent. Miami couldn't keep weans out a close right enough.
Giggling and shaking my head at the Brechin goalscorers today
I like both Donaldson and Lang but any player that's attainable for a Championship club would be a downgrade on Graham, before you even consider their fitness concerns. Maybe wouldn't be a death knell for winning the league but it'd be a massive blow to lose him.
