Image (Art): This is a piece of fanart of Rosalina from Super Mario Galaxy. It is a waist up sketch featuring Rosalina who is smiling warmly at the nearby Luma. This is a traditional sketch which I've added colour to digitally, just to make it look a bit more interesting. For example, I also decided to include a circle for the background behind Rosalina and the Luma, which features a purple-pink gradient to make it look like space; I even added a few sparkles here and there to make it look like stars. I also used the default Star brush from GIMP around the edge of the circle (small in size) in a white opaque overlay, and within the circle itself (which are a bit larger and are of a lighter opaque.) It's actually been quite a while since I drew Rosalina, so I just left this as a basic quick sketch. I was going to base it on her new amiibo figure's artwork, because I absolutely adore her expression in that piece of art (and I really hope that Nintendo releases the image in full) but I thought I'd just keep it simple....since her shoulders and the top bit of her dress was causing me a bit of grief. This was just a quick-ish sketch that I did last year, inspired by her new Galaxy1+2 amiibo figure, and that new piece of official art shown on the packaging, which I hope Nintendo shares at some point. I need it!! 😭💖

Also, I feel like kicking myself for listening to some stupid advice years ago where it was like: "don't focus on drawing side profiles, you need to focus on 3/4, front and just about anything else", because I now STRUGGLE with them at times. 😬 Just draw whatever!

Yeah. I used to roleplay on GaiaOnline when it was first opened - and I was younger, lol, and everybody tended to be nice on there. There were cases of "you have to write in full 'detailed' sentences to join" which caused a bit of upset if the person didn't have good writing skills.

I had a lot of fun drawing Muffet again, and it was actually a lot of fun thinking about how I could incorporate certain elements that were present in the original into the new piece! Including working out how I would draw her 'now', since the original piece showed her from the back as I was unsure of how to draw her clothing, but I just decided to do whatever and combine ideas whilst drawing her in her battle sprite pose, just at a slightly different angle. Also this is "Version A", since I've also done two additional versions with slightly different colours in them, which are slightly de-saturated and a 'combined' version which I'll post a bit later. Anyway, I'm not sure what else to put here, I will probably come back and tweak a few things here and there at some point, including when I notice Spider no.456 doesn't have any legs or something....hoo boy...so many spiders....pretty sure some of them are actually in dance poses if you look closely... || Artist: yesbutterfly. I wanted to draw him looking imposing and smug, so I went with a pose for him where he has his head slightly angled upwards so you can see his full face (I'm sorry), with a sneer on his face. He also has one of his hands raised with the fingers curled in a menacing manner like he's probably giving some sort of evil monologue, or he's going to cast a spell. The piece itself mostly consists of red from the sky (and Agahnim's robes) with orange/yellow tones from the sun in the background, and I attempted to use this push myself to do a bit of dramatic lighting. He's supposed to be in a room similar to the one that he's fought in, so I included some pillars and did a pattern around the 'windows' in order to make them more interesting, and so it was obvious where the window ledge is. For the scenery outside, I just decided to keep it simple with the shape of hills & trees in the background, and the Pyramid of Power as a reference to his second fight and The Dark World... I don't know it's just supposed to look dramatic! I'll probably change a few things when I eventually get around to doing a full digital piece (and fix up a few things), but I'm happy with how it turned out! || Artist: yesbutterfly.
