obviously alex pretti was a hero and defended anyone he saw being assaulted, no matter their race, but it is still fucking amazing to see him called "race traitor" for stepping in to defend .... white women from his own local community. what the fuck are we even doing.

one of my stupidest yet most life enhancing "life hacks" was to start buying super colorful neon versions of all the things that used to disappear into the bottom of my purse or backpack. glasses case! clip for work badge! front door keys! etc. I imagine it works the same for ice whistle!

this was obvious from the moment they used the slogan "mass deportations now." there's no path to "mass deportations now" that doesn't include mass racial profiling, concentration camps/other human rights abuses, people "deported" to third party countries, etc.
Even his "apology" evades responsibility. There's a chasm of meaning in between "I didn't listen to what ppl were directly telling me (implication: I should examine my behavior/beliefs to identify the stumbling block)" and "I was hard of hearing, I COULDN'T have heard any alarms (it's not my fault)"
