Oh god, that's totally going to take that approach aren't they?

There will be zero war in two weeks
The bar I used to frequent put up the sports pages on the wall by the urinal so it became a running joke that we were just going to check the cricket scores.
It turned into an actual interest in the sport, but took years before I understood the scoring, and even now, I only kind of understand it.
Is it just me or is he leaning more and more on the βthis is happening unlike anything anyoneβs ever seen beforeβ line?
Itβs always been a go-to for him but it seems like every sentence he utters is some form of that
today at the World Metaphors Classic the leader of the USA didn't bother to find out the details of the situation his team was in and blindly assumed they would win a matchup they ended up losing, jeopardizing their long-term standing for no good reason
I hope Manfred is sweating somewhere this morning at the possibility of all the knockout round games being played in the US and no jingoistic American fans in the crowds.
Are these "congrats the war is over!" mines that explode confetti or something when ships hit them?
Kirky's a great catcher, solid hitter, and seems like a fun dude. A runner he is not, though.
Imagine the reaction in the US if ~175 schoolgirls had been killed by a targeted Iranian missile. (Or anyone's missile.)
This is an atrocity.
Yup, certainly sounds like the war is basically pretty much kinda over
I'm not familiar with Mr. Poliviere's work, but it must be stellar.
Come on Max: Don't be negative. But also, let me be negative. But also also, if you haven't anything good to say, don't say anything at all. But also also also, here are some bad things I have to say about the prime minister.
Screenshot from Tangle newsletter on Iran war: βI read the news Saturday morning, thought βOh, so that happened, and have kept forgetting about it since. It's about as relevant to my life as, say, a celebrity death," one respondent said.
What a wild statement to come from someone who subscribes to, and presumably regularly reads, a news outlet like @tanglenews.bsky.social. I just canβt believe someone would respond to that news with such a βho humβ attitude.
Poor Bennett and Rayne out here catching strays
Let's take a look at some spring training myths, why they exist & how they apply to the 2026 Blue Jays. A good excuse to remember Greg Bird's epic spring from a few years ago.

Even wilder if you stretched that poll back to, say, November 2024.
The thread starts with saying she was surprised by his response.
That is to say, she was surprised he said the same thing heβs been saying for months.
Slightly better than the Julien-Paxton-Naylor relay
That was better defence
I thought Naylor kept that one fair down the left field line. Itβs been down cliff since
They almost nailed theβ¦uhβ¦2B to Pitcher to Catcher relay
βTehran is burning. And smoke has filled the streets. Itβs impossible to drive out of the city right now and even with the windows closed, heavy smoke is making its way inside."
Read every word.
It sounds hand-wringingly lefty because it is a universal truth. There is always money for bombs and never money for desperate people
Fletcher travels the world pleading for pennies down the couch so people donβt starve to death. $6bn a year
The US just spent that in five days bombing Iran
Meg is not overselling this
Every now and then a line in a story reminds me just how much the world has changed. That this even has to be mentioned is crazy.
"Assuming American democratic institutions and traditions hold, Trump won't be president after January 2029."

Chart showing in many countries, people see their fellow citizens as morally good.
We asked people around the world to rate the morality and ethics of others in their country.
The U.S. is the only place we surveyed where more adults describe the morality and ethics of others living in the country as bad than good. See our full morality report here: www.pewresearch.org/...
Security thought they had the perpetrator but he didnβt listen to the freeze call
