In KS3 we do a core test everyone does for which I aim to have negative skew and then the higher sets also do an extension test for which I aim to have a symmetrical distribution. That seems to work well for us in giving everyone tests appropriate for them but also allowing comparison effectively.

I have also done this. Quite enjoyed explaining it to parents after they had heard child's version of events. They went from outrage to apology very quickly. 😂 I think I also sent one out for "sighing" on another occasion!

This is really interesting to me. What the main reason they resitting for the 5? I'm sure there's an obvious answer I don't know. Meanwhile in a Devon a student 2 marks off a 5: "don't bother with a remark miss I only need a 4". Gap between our 4+ and 5+ is massive.

I think bath would be a must for us with littlees. 5 yr old has starting having showers sometimes but bath time has been really important for us as a family (bonding time not just washing time). No bath would definitely put me off a property.
