I couldnβt figure it out. So I changed the art asset instead. Open to any advice or guidance #GMS2 #GameMakerStudio
Picked up a little lite reading from #GDC! Such an inspiring week surrounded by amazing people. A longer summary post to come.
Thank you for everyone in the #gameaudio community for the love, support, and knowledge!
Working on a sfx library for Pro Sound Effects, and I came across the original recording for the Crash Bandicoot Wrath of Cortex loading screen!
Kinda neat

Super excited for my first #GDC!! I'll be all over the audio track but curious to learn more about indie game design
Are you able to play it early?? I'm so curious how this game is
Solo Dev Diary Entry #5:
I can't figure out how to have multiple collision shapes for a object or sprite in GMS2 so that this plunger matches this animation.
I've been obsessing over it all day. I'm going to try some sequencer magic later today

Solo Dev Diary Entry #4:
What the heck engine should I use!?!
I've been slowly building my idea GM Studio 2 Construct 3 & UE5.
Obvi I'm not progressing, since I'm doing my work 3 dang times lol but I see advantages to each engine.
I'll have to commit to one soon. Any advice? #sologamedev
Job hunting is so brutal. I am so dishearten by how much I've been trying and how little the results have been

Thank you, I'm just trying to do it ethically in a world that's pushing AI all the time.
I usually work like you do too. I would say the AI was like scanning 10 tutorials and only giving me the relevant info, cutting the research time by at least an hour.
If I had to adjust either physics or animation, I could do it without checking AI, so I did learn something. But also, I can't help but feel I missed out on learning more from just researching these things myself.
I might have learned less relevant info, but i would have learned more
A little bit of both. I'm creating the assets and main code, then using AI to adjust. This post was about the physics of the jumping mechanic that I set up, but AI improved.
I also used it for help on linking a jump animation. The animation is human made but the AI helped me with the correct code.
Solo Dev Diary Entry #3:
So I've been using AI. and I'm not sure how to feel about it. I took a course in AI prompting and thought it would be helpful with roadblocks I've found in my game projects.
It's conflicting, but it's honestly been very helpful. I'm open to talking about how

Solo Dev Diary Entry #2:
The default 3rd person BP has the worst, floaty feel to it. I spent 2 hours on Sunday adjusting the physics to get it a tiny bit better.
Anyone have any suggestions for improvements?
#UnrealEngine
Me too! But I just learned that when someone informed me that games from the PS2 & PS3 eras are retro now. The wheels of time are a funny thing
Solo Dev Diary Entry #1:
Unreal Engine 5.4, why is it so hard to build lighting? Why did I have to learn so much about UV lightmaps?
On the other hand, hot dang you look so pretty when they finally cook correctly!
Back in New Jersey. Soon LA
It happens like once a year, but the urge to buy Pokemon cards is hitting hard right now.
I made these a while ago and jumped into the project to touch them up today. Final Fantasy ReMake was one of my favorite games in recent history. Loved adding my own sounds to these sick moves
