One character I thought would be somewhat neutral or outright disliked ended up becoming the fan favorite. (Sovanna, Garner for Gold).
Also, when readers actually appreciate my flowery style rather than complain that I take my time...that feels amazing.

Talking about books I labored over for almost a decade now but still suffer intense embarrassment over when it comes to my delivery (of how difficult it is to sum things up in a snappy pitch or fun graphic) is also humiliating lol but it must be done

Scrolling through my social medias to gather whatever pitches I've done for my books, & contrary to my own belief I apparently haven't posted a ton? I mean, there's a reasonable amount of promo, but I think it's not a lot compared to what many authors do. Even on threads where I'm more active.

So much admin work done today. The emails hunt me. At least I'm done for now 😴

None of them have been as splashy as I dreamed, but that's to be expected. I've been focusing these years on building a backlist so I have plenty of books to talk about. I learn stuff with each book I publish no matter what. No way forward but ahead...or something like that.

Everyday the CHR draft torments me, especially on days I don’t have any time to write

The thing about having *good* chronic illness days, is that you get excited and do all the things.

But then the next day is a *bad* chronic illness day, and you’re reminded that you are, in fact, still disabled. You’re not magically cured. It was just a good day

Worth it though. I had SO much fun!

The point being, anyone who's eagerly awaiting or theologically invested in the End Times shouldn't be in government or military command, because they don't give a shit about the actual, real future, let alone the consequences of their actions in the present; they just want the world to end.

I am so serious when I say that there is a direct line to be drawn between Evangelism having no meaningful concept of the future save death and American conservatives having zero awareness of or interest in the future consequences of their actions
