Klein’s audience is not the general public and he lost them with that out of touch take. I used to listen fairly regularly and haven’t at all since Kirk and the center-left push for the substance-less abundance agenda.

When the girls tired of waiting longer than our fair share for the swing we would climb the hill on the far side of the creek and use rakes and our feet to carve “houses” into the tall grass between the sage brush. We would stomp down the rooms to layout an idyllic domestic life on the hillside.

My cousins had a creek behind their house under tall cottonwood trees. Children lined up for a turn to fly across the narrow water on a rope swing made of a single length of rope tied around the center of a blunt stick. The bigger kids could lift themselves to swing standing or did foolhardy stunts.

He was adamant that nail polish was vain and that if we truly lived the law of the gospel girls wouldn’t be cutting their hair. I thought he believed in a pretty shallow god and asked why men’s hair cuts don’t matter to god. Apparently men aren’t vain, but women are universally so. 🤨

I also attended family reunions with color coded name tags to identify which wife we were descended from and was surprised to see other kids I knew from Jr High in attendance.

Can’t forget the creepy guy who sat at the picnic table to tell me what God wanted for the daughters of Zion.

I can’t get over how pervasive “modeling” was as an aspirational goal, (though somehow perilous) in the 80s/90s. I lived in a small suburban town in a backwards state with very conservative religious community— but “modeling” was very present in the zeitgeist.

They’ve been stealing true representation of the people for quite long enough. 🤬

Accountability is the only remedy.

If we really wanted to protect children, we would protect them from heterosexual men.

They already did this to the kid charged with Charlie Kirk’s murder. Not the the action was defensible, but the kid is far right and has been dismissed as liberal.

If they want us to believe they’re treating people well, they need to open to public officials, legal counsel, and stop sending detainees to the ER.
