Womenβs history is an opportunity to celebrate the women who laid the foundation for where we are today.Β Β These women, and so many others, carried a vision and led with conviction even when the path was uncertain.
There is no single solution to housing affordability, there are just lots of small to medium solutions. Building more alley homes is one of them, and these changes will help.
The chasm between stated goals and actions is maddening.
For now, perhaps. But the technology will improve to the point that the those issues will go away. In the same period time Iβm fairly confident we wonβt improve the behavior of human drivers markedly for multiple reasons.
Itβs a both/and for me. I love me an automated camera but they come with a lot of baggage, too, and arenβt going to solve all of our problems. Having a handful of cars on the road that have to obey the laws can have beneficial effects on everyone else.
Northern lights-esque clouds in DC.
Not a great photo (for the same reason northern lights photos are lying to you), but the clouds in DC are doing a halfway decent northern lights impression right now.
Not arguing your point, even though Iβm replying to it, but Iβve been thinking about the ways AVs could make roads safer in positive spillover ways. More cars on the road forces other drivers to break fewer rules. A driver canβt run a red light if the Waymo in front of them doesnβt run it.
There a lot of worse kids songs, just saying.
First Iβve seen the outside set up, and I was there on Thursday. Looks great!
Wondering how many weeks of missed DPW recycling collection need to pile up in my kitchen before we start looking into the economics of opening a recycling facility.
Is it possible there are actually infinity democratic text message campaigns trying to extract money from me?
Also if I ever figure out who I gave money to that sold my phone number, so help meβ¦
@homedepotofficial.bsky.social this driver parked across a crosswalk to unload at 6th and East Capitol in DC. This is not safe for everyone else. @ddotdc.bsky.social

Well, I grew up there, so easy guess :)
Fairbanks, AK is a bit worse.
Thank you!!
Thanks. I donβt recall seeing that but Iβll look again.
Blocked sidewalk at 412 3rd St NE
@ddotdc.bsky.social I canβt find a safe passage category on the 311 app but can you look into this site at 412 3rd St NE? Surely this site could provide an option for pedestrians. @cmcharlesallen.bsky.social
Civic logo
I realize Iβm late to this party, but if you havenβt tried Civic on 8th St SE you really should. Such a lovely welcoming vibe created by the space and people.
Honest question, if bowling were done on an ice lane would it be meaningfully different?
Much better choreography from Belgiumβs Pinzarrone. And Send in the Clowns with subtle clown outfit was a solid move.
Now the German pairs team takes on Meatloaf and really drops the ball. So many tempo changes to work with and theyβre doing nothing with them. So much overwrought emotion yet so many missed opportunities.
In contrast, Kevin Aymoz takes on Bolero, another great piece of music, and shows how itβs done. Great choreography (though the ending in front of the judges was a bit much).
