We’re surely running a risk of Frank’s last game being against Brentford next weekend? Can’t see us doing anything up at Newcastle.
This has been worse than Nuno for me, the right manager change there is still plenty to play for.
How long does it take them to put full match replay on SpursPlay?
Sorry @nathanaclark.bsky.social
Hopefully midfield business isn’t finished.
Not sure on Dragusin’s return timeframe, I’d be comfortable with him + Danso as backup pairing in a lower block type defence where there is much high demand ball playing requirements.
Would love a natural left sided CB, just think we need more players who can take hold of a game from wide and CM.
Do you feel our wingers stack up to top teams?
A 4th CB is needed but nowhere near a higher priority for me.
Any interest in João Palhinha if Bayern aren’t going to play him much again?
Genuinely rarely a better night in my life
Bentley one?
Nice to keep getting daily little ‘fuckin c’mon’ buzzes when it comes into consciousness isn’t it.
Any worries he’s lost his some of his mojo since Porro and Udogie got the big games against Frankfurt? Or just worse performances because he’s been playing with the ‘B’ side.
Yeah Biss has been one of the major disappointments under Ange. Bentancur I have character and unreliability issues with.
Cardozo would be a different profile than we have and if we replaced both I’d be interested by a Stiller as a more technical 6.
Intrigued to see Abbott in pre-season too.
Bentancur / Bissouma upgrades not needed in your opinion if Ange stays?
Been a tricky year for him hasn’t it.
He’s got so much to like about his game but the lack of technical refinement has stunted his growth & probably points to limitations stopping him reaching the top.
Such a likeable guy, I’m certainly not adverse to him as a squad rotation but if a bid came in.
Yeah, there were at least 4 or 5 moments apart from our goal that you’d hope we’d score at least another goal from on a game by game basis.
Forest are having their Leicester season.
Basically every player having the season of their lives, minimal injuries, tactics that don’t rely on outplaying just winning the moments.
They’ll be back to mediocrity next season, feel fairly certain of that.
Plus, they’re an advert for breaking FFP.
And I think more evidence that we’re just undoubtedly playing better football this last 3-4 weeks with a true squad. Errors and lack of clinical edge only thing costing us now rather then being inferior to opponents as was the case during the injury crisis.
True but it’s still better than playing bad when 2-0 down.
Created enough against probably the best low block defence in league, just needed an earlier chance to go in for a real shot at getting something.
The early conceding is just killing us game after game 😭
Hard to know too much due to game state but for one of best defences in league we sure did created plenty.
Just feel we need our next ‘guy’ to arrive who can open those games up.
Ala Bale / Kane / Prime Son etc. not sure we’ve currently got them.
Happy for Richi and funny to watch 9000 crosses.
Have an awesome trip, the football will be a small part of the memories from my experience.
Hopefully the boys do the club proud regardless of the result. COYS
Agree with most here in that contention for trophies / top 4, mostly attractive attacking football and I’d add 2-3 top level players.
We’ve always been one of the sides outside of the ‘elite’ to almost always have world class players and feel that’s as much our identity as any.
Yeah I agree with that, do think there is an over expectation on CBs quality on the ball. Romero is such an outlier. There are lots of quality CBs that get by with average on ball ability in good build up teams.
Think the nuance of our build up has had lots of systemic flaws this season.
Nothing ground breaking but I’ve started taking my son this season (6), he loves the club shop & getting face paint, having a hot dog whilst watching the warm-ups & seeing the photos on the big screen before game. We generally get to seats a good 45mins before kick off with a programme, he loves it.
Yeah, during all that time playing with Gray if it was with VdV I think he’d have came out with a lot more credit as we loosened such a fix to playing out every time.
But for sure he’s another with too much of a gap between his floor & ceiling, which to me appears the main issues through our squad
Definitely not a horrid signing and he’s still never had a run in a settled side say alongside VdV where I think it’d be fairer to judge him rather than the constant make shift defence.
Yeah, Dragusin and Werner were the only blot’s I have on Lange to date but as you say, Radu is widely credited to Fabio.
Some of what we didn’t do goes against him re exp signings last summer and speed of activity in January, though I’m more forgiving the latter given the way that market went.
Yeah, Lange has had one summer window and I think his hit rate is close to equal to Paratici’s, albeit with different profile of signings.
Similar to manager, would want to see him get a longer period to really mould a vision to fruition.
I think this is the only summer we could potentially get majority of our investment back on Madders which is why I’d sell before he’s heading into his 30s following summer.
Think there’d be a high amount of interest from every part of the table.
Think Deki’s time to be given the keys.
I think it’s the same reason people didn’t like Vic’s ott grabbing of Bergval on Sunday.
Players who gesticulate as much as PEH (& Vic tbf) have to almost be flawless in their own performance or people just get really pissed off with them for not ‘doing their own job’.
