Yesterday at the Chinese Cultural Center, we came together to celebrate Lunar New Year and welcome the Year of the Fire Horse. We stand with our Asian and Pacific Islander community in honoring this rich heritage.

Yesterday we celebrated something special at the Albuquerque Sunport, a ribbon cutting for a new lineup of local retail in our Great Hall.

When visitors arrive, this is often their first impression of our city. Now, they’ll be welcomed with the very best of who we are.

Black history is Albuquerque history.

Hobart LaGrone, Debra Johns, and the Honorable James B. Lewis are just three of the many Black leaders who helped shape Albuquerque. We continue to honor their legacy and the lasting impact they’ve made on our city.

Keeping our community safe means looking out for everyone. This includes our animals!

Alongside APD and Albuquerque Community Safety, our Animal Welfare Protection Officers play a critical role in responding to calls, preventing cruelty, and supporting families and pets in crisis.

‼️ Today, we celebrated the grand opening of Route 66 Flats. As we address our housing crisis, this project provides one bedroom homes for people exiting homelessness and reflects a new vision for Route 66 as a place to live, rebuild, and find stability. 🏠

🎨 Albuquerque has been recognized with a 2026 Public Leadership in the Arts award. This recognition is a testament to Dr. Shelle Sanchez’s leadership and to the artists, culture bearers, and creatives whose work defines Albuquerque every day.

Today in D.C., joined by mayors from across the nation working to keep our communities safe, restore trust in government, and demand urgent federal course correction in the wake of Alex Pretti’s death.

Through 211, immigrants and families can connect to trusted, free resources. From legal support to community services, support is available if needed.

Opening Day at the Roundhouse. Back in Santa Fe to stand up for Albuquerque, connect with legislators from around the state, and make sure our city's voice is heard.

This morning’s MLK Commemorative Breakfast was a powerful reminder that Dr. King’s work is not just history, it’s a call to action. Together, Albuquerque continues to carry that dream forward.

The City of Albuquerque has earned Platinum level distinction for its workplace practices and policies by Family Friendly New Mexico. This reinforces the City’s commitment to development through the opportunities employees are given to further their careers and education.

This morning families, students, faith leaders and neighbors came together to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The MLK March reminds us that progress is built when we march forward together - peacefully, purposefully, and with hope.

Congratulations to Ona Porter on her retirement ... really! Her guiding principle “don’t tell me no tell me how” will continue to inspire City Hall and beyond. And as Prosperity Works celebrates its 25th anniversary, thank you Ona for everything you’ve given to Albuquerque.
