It’s a combination I think of my placement has been tough, and also that the grade level content is appropriately challenging for the age group, but their independence is not quite there.
With 2nd, they can be a little more independent and with kindergarten and below, the work isn’t as challenging.

-is also kind of intimidating to me. I feel like I still need a lot of support and time with this group and with her, but because of the circumstances, I didn’t get that and so I feel a lot more unsteady and overwhelmed.
I think it’s the expectations for them academically versus their needing more support to do it. The academic expectations are appropriate, but they’re not quite as independently capable, which makes them more stressful.
Also part of it is just, my mentor does a great job running the classroom but-
