Nearly every Republican in the Senate voted to overturn a Biden Admin rule that limited bank overdraft fees to $5.

This rule, initially established by the now gutted CFPB, was expected to save consumers $5 billion annually.

If the goal is saving money, then illegally firing a substantial amount of forensic auditors that already work for the government makes ZERO sense. These folks typically did audits for those making more than $250,000 a year.

I think(?) many of the requests and information are going through leadership. Our leaders are asking for information that they can definitely ask for and have clearance for. The problem is when those leaders then send that info along to folks who shouldn't have it.

So the takeover of the US digital service and change of their scope of duties is illegal.
