Due to costs, especially during this moment of pain and grieving, no funeral will be had—but instead of being granted the period of grief, we are preparing as to what life will look like with less, for a family already experiencing so much loss.
Life sometimes deals hard cards and in their later years when my aunt and uncle should have been enjoying being empty nesters, it came to be that they had to raise their grandchild.
Now a teenager, that my aunt will have to raise alone while living off of a single pension.
If you’ve driven through Nova Scotia, and Halifax, he paved those roads you were on. He helped shingle your roofs, he helped with your landscaping. He broke his body day after day, year after year, working for his community.
He was always the rock, the stoic one that held it together.
Here goes nothing, I’m for the first time asking strangers for help and hoping that the goodness of humans can help a family in need.
I lost my uncle yesterday, after a very fast and agressive battle with small cell lung cancer. He was a family man, through and through.
Love you so so so much 💕 you deserve nothing but the best in this life, and I’m so happy to see that happening for you.
