No it isn't. We didn't vote for our governor to decide to ignore the state laws and regulations surrounding the pollution (noise and otherwise) that's being poured out over the locals. The locals weren't consulted. Our state may be terrible about a lot but our environmental laws are OK. Or were.

That's true. Folks aren't stupid: they certainly notice if they are personally hurt by the regime's actions. And with more and more people becoming more invested in actually going to vote - pressure's rising. And the Files have been terrible for their reputation (rightly so).

As a resident of MS, may I say: you're only half right. Yes, the GOP has a stranglehold on the state government, but they do so by narrower and narrower margins. They've relied on not many folks voting. That's changing.

Nightbird is elegant, tactful, loving, charming, talented, capable, and most of all - well connected. She can truly heal with a song (and has done). She's not perfect, but she has perfected all the skills I never learned or mastered.
Oh of course. But in a strange way I guess. Berylla is able to get away with the kind of blunt semi-stupid honesty that is my entire inner voice. She's tall and strong, things I won't ever be, ha!
Nightbird though, is much more of the wish fulfillment...a successful scholar and musician...
Berylla definitely doesn't care for being in the spotlight, fame has always been her least favorite aspect of being WoL
Nightbird also stays out of the headlines - as WoL. But she's happy enough to be prominent and famous as Songstress of Ishgard!

After ShB, Ber has a fair chunk of her Ancient memories back. In a way she's more "connected" to a family that's been missing for 15000 years, and a landmass that doesn't exist now.
That said: the land she DOES recall as "home" strongly resembles Coerthas. Mountainous and snowy.
